RWC 2019 ticket applications open globally on Saturday
January 25, 2018
Fans will be able to apply for tickets to follow their favourite team at Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan when the global ticket application window for team and stadium packs opens on 27 January.

The global phase follows very strong interest for packs from the Japan rugby family priority application phase, which opened on 19 January.

With Japan 2019 set to capture the imagination among international fans as Asia's first Rugby World Cup, the window for applications begins at 10h00 (Japan time, GMT +9) and is open until 23h59 (Japan time) on 12 February and will operate as a ballot, so all applications within the window will have equal opportunity.

Fans who have not yet created a ticketing account will be able to do so at the time of purchase via the official ticketing website at www.rugbyworldcup.com/tickets.

Team packs

Team packs are available for teams who have qualified as of 2 November, 2017. Team packs start from JPY¥12,038 for an Adult Category D pack to follow Fiji. All team pack prices can be found here.

Stadium packs

Stadium packs include tickets to all pool matches being held at that venue. Stadium packs start from JPY¥4,038 for an Adult Category D Pack at Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium. All stadium pack prices can be found here.

Mastercard, as a Worldwide Partner of Rugby World Cup 2019, is offering those who apply for tickets using their Mastercard the chance to receive a double entry in the ticketing ballot for the opportunity to secure tickets to each of the matches they apply for.

The launch of the team and stadium pack application process begins the second phase of a global ticketing programme for what will be the most accessible Rugby World Cup to date.

The key dates are:

World Rugby Chairman Bill Beaumont said: “The launch of the team and stadium pack sales process for international fans is an exciting and important milestone for Rugby World Cup 2019, meaning fans can now start to prepare for the tournament.

“This phase is all about making access to the tournament as simple as possible and I am sure that the availability of packs to follow your favourite team will be very popular with international fans, as it has been with domestic fans when it launched last week.”

Japan Rugby 2019 CEO Akira Shimazu added: "The global launch of team pack and stadium pack ticket applications follows a very successful domestic rugby family launch which attracted strong demand.

"We are preparing the best environment to welcome fans from all over the world with great hospitality. We look forward to welcoming the world to Japan in 2019."
