RWC 2019: One Year To Go!

The countdown to Rugby World Cup 2019 has begun! Celebrations of #1YTG are taking place across the world. Host cities are putting the finishing touches to their plans to welcome teams to their training and match venues and Japan is ready to open its doors to the rugby family.

So what are you waiting for? Want to join the fun and follow your team to the first Rugby World Cup in Asia? Read below to find out how to be involved!

Tickets for Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan are back on sale with the global window for general public ticket applications open between 19 September and 23:59 JST on 12 November. Tickets across all categories are still available for all 48 matches and fans are encouraged to use the traffic-light indicator on the Rugby World Cup ticketing site for the best chance of securing tickets.

All you need to do to be part of the general public ticket ballot is to register for an account on the ticketing website and make your match selection.

RWC 2019 APP

The official app of Rugby World Cup 2019 is now LIVE and available for download in four languages for iOS and Android phones. Key features include all the pre-tournament news coverage, video archive of RWC greatest moments, full schedule and fixtures, ticket information, International Trophy Tour, personalisation of content and notifications based on your favourite team and fun and games for fans worldwide. GROWING RUGBY IN ASIA

The Rugby World Cup 2019 Impact Beyond legacy programme was established to unite the Japanese rugby community in the build-up to the tournament, Already, nearly one million youngsters in Asia have participated in Impact Beyond programmes.

Launched to mark #1YTG, the Dream Beyond 2019 Future Plan will continue to bring together the local governments of the host cities and the prefectural unions to work together after the tournament, to sustainably spread rugby across Japan, among all age groups.

CHILDFUND PASS IT BACK PROGRAMME

Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan will be a game-changer for disadvantaged children across Asia, thanks to the partnership between World Rugby and ChildFund. Fans purchasing RWC 2019 tickets can opt-in to donate to the ChildFund Pass It Back programme.

Donations of ¥750, ¥1,500 or ¥3,000 will help the programme deliver integrated life-skills and non-contact tag rugby curriculum to encourage children and young people to inspire positive social change and ‘pass it back’ to their communities. Don't forget to opt-in when you are purchasing your RWC 2019 tickets!
