PLAYER WRITE-UP
Randile maybe a relatively unknown name out side of South Africa but he has progressed quietly and steadily up the ranks as a mobile and skilful lock. He is not particularly tall for the position at 1.94 metres but has proved his value with tremendous athleticism. Randile played for the South Africa Under 21s in 1997 and the South African Barbarians in the same year. Randile hails from the fishing town of Saldanha Bay on the Cape's west coast. He was ready to pursue a career as a fisherman not dreaming that he might play rugby professionally. It was not until he graduated from U-21 rugby that he finally beleived he might have a future in the game. He then moved to Wellington and started to take the game seriously. He shared with Wayne Julies (no relation) and John Daniels and the three formed a strong bond and to this day they share an apartment. Randile blossomed as a player despite the indifferent form of the team and after an impressive run of games in the Bankfin currie Cup Randile's stock has continued to rise.
