This is to ensure that rugby is played in good spirit, in a disciplined and fair manner, and without any unnecessary rough play and malice. By compliance to the Code, any unnecessary avoidable and “off-the ball” incidents and injuries should be curtailed.
The Code also seeks to prevent any act or behaviour that might damage the game of rugby and/or bring the game into disrepute. It additionally guarantees accountability and liability of all signed parties to honour the stipulations as set out in the Code of Conduct, and thereby attempts to make the game safer for all participants of the game.
