Glasgow Warriors coach Danny Wilson watched as Jones scored the crucial try last week in their victory over the Cardiff Blues, putting an end to a four game losing streak, and he will be looking for more of the same in one of only two Guinness PRO14 matches this weekend.

Both games had to be rescheduled due to COVID-19 concerns, with this opportunity giving the four sides in action a chance to grab vital log points as the remaining teams take a well-earned break.

Jones has scored in his last three games against the Dragons and he will be looking to extend that impressive run, especially since a victory for either side will translate into crucial points that could nudge them into third place in Conference A.

In Friday’s game Connacht will be looking to extend their record of six wins in their last six games against Italian teams as they face Benetton in Galway.

Johann van Graan’s Munster boasts a big lead in Conference B and appear to have that side of the championship sewn up, but Connacht have the opportunity to leap above the Scarlets into second place if they register a win. 

Connacht’s home form is strong, with three wins from their last four contests at the Sportsground, while they only lost to Benetton once at home back in 2011. 

Benetton, meanwhile, have secured losing bonus points in three of their last four outings, which will fuel their motivation to push through this time as they look to win their first game in Ireland since 2018.
