The Springboks won the first of their back-to-back encounters last weekend in Nelspruit, where they registered a 26-10 victory – their second biggest winning margin ever against the All Blacks – but both Kitshoff and De Allende refused to write off a strong fightback from their opponents this week.

“It is nice to play at Emirates Airline Park, especially if one trains in Johannesburg all week,” said Kitshoff.

“We are aware of what a treasure of a ground it is in South Africa, and after what we experienced last week at the Mbombela Stadium, I think it is going to be very similar, if not louder. It is going to be a great occasion.”

De Allende said even though the All Blacks suffered their fourth defeat in five matches last week, they remained a potent force if the ball bounces their way on the day.

“They (New Zealand) won’t disappoint on Saturday,” said De Allende.

“We know how they can pass the ball around and what can happen if those passes stick, so we have to play for 80 minutes this weekend. We are looking forward to the challenge.”

The midfielder, who will earn his 62^nd Test cap on Saturday, added: “They are a world class outfit with highly skilled players who can break games wide open.

“We were where they are now in 2016 and 2017 and we feel for them, but we know what we want to do this weekend, and we need to focus on our jobs."

De Allende was non-committal on who thought the All Blacks may select in their midfield and said: “We know what they are going to throw at us and we need to stay focused on the job no matter who they pick in their midfield pairing, and Lukhanyo and I will be up for that.”

Kitshoff, meanwhile, expected a big onslaught from the visitors in the set pieces and mauls and said: “The All Blacks are a strong outfit in the lineouts and scrums, and they always come out ready for the challenge, so they will be tough opponents on Saturday.

“Last week we didn’t get the dominance we wanted in the second half, but we have been working hard this week and hopefully we can get it right this weekend.”

Commenting on the enforced change to the Springbok starting team on Wednesday with Joseph Dweba being handed his first start against the All Blacks after Bongi Mbonambi was withdrawn from the squad as a precautionary measure after taking a knock to his knee at training on Tuesday, the Springbok loosehead prop said he was "extremely happy" for Dweba, who will join Kitshoff at the DHL Stormers later this season.

"He’s been involved in the set-up for a while, and he’s been working hard at training. That said, it is sad for Bongi, but hopefully he’ll be back on the field soon,” said Kitshoff.
