The Cell C Sharks, DHL Stormers and Vodacom Bulls will face Munster, Harlequins and Toulouse respectively in the Heineken Champions Cup, with the coastal teams playing at home and the men from Pretoria away in France.
In the EPCR Challenge Cup, the Emirates Lions are at home to the Racing 92, while the Toyota Cheetahs face Toulon in France.
Current or former Springboks who will play for teams from abroad in the Heineken Champions Cup this weekend include Handre Pollard and Jasper Wiese (both Leicester), Andre Esterhuizen and Wilco Louw (both Harlequins), RG Snyman (Munster), Jason Jenkins (Leinster), Duane Vermeulen (Ulster), Raymond Rhule (Stade Rochelais), Jan Serfontein, Cobus Reinach and Nicolaas Janse van Rensburg (all Montpellier), and Ivan van Zyl (Saracens).
Vincent Koch (Stade Francais), Arno Botha (Lyon), Warrick Gelant (Racing 92), and Robert, Dan and Jean-Luc du Preez, as well as Akker van der Merwe and Coenie Oosthuizen (all Sale Sharks) will be in action in the EPCR Challenge Cup playoffs.
