The Pumas Women took the Women's First Division title in 2025 with a 21-8 victory in the final over Leopards in Nelspruit, after the champions from 2024, the SWD Eagirls, were knocked out in the semi-finals. The competition again featured seven teams who played each other over a single round of league matches. The other teams who participated in 2025 were Griquas, the fourth semi-finalist, the Limpopo Blue Bulls, Valke and Griffons.

SA Rugby pays tribute to Lusanda DumkeMr Mark Alexander, President of SA Rugby, paid tribute to former Springbok Women captain Lusanda Dumke, who passed away in East London in the early hours of Tuesday morning following a battle with a rare gastric cancer. She was 29.
