WOMEN'S FIRST DIVISION

The SWD Eagirls were crowned champions of the 2024 Women's First Division after a tense final against the Leopards in George as they reclaimed the title they last won in 2022. The competition featured seven teams who played each other over a single round of league matches. The other teams who participated in 2024 were the Limpopo Blue Bulls and Pumas, both of whom featured in the semi-finals, as well as the Valke, Griffons and Griquas.

Qolo to lead Springbok Women to Madagascar

Anathi Qolo will lead the Springbok Women to Madagascar, where they will defend their Rugby Africa Women’s Cup title next month against Uganda, Kenya and Madagascar. The three Tests will all be played at Stade Makis in Antananarivo, on 7, 11 and 15 June respectively.

Good start to new cycle for Springbok Women

Springbok Women assistant coach Laurian Johannes-Haupt said the squad achieved good results at the end of the first week of their training camp in Cape Town and will regroup at the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport over the weekend for another week of high intensity training and preparation.
