Apart from Coetzee, the other Springboks in the tour squad are Lizo Gqoboka (prop), Nizaam Carr (loose forward), Ivan van Zyl (scrumhalf), Cornal Hendricks (centre) and Gio Aplon (fullback).
Coetzee, Carr and Aplon will provide their team-mates with valuable knowledge of European playing conditions, having joined the Pretoria franchise in the last year after playing stints in the Northern Hemisphere.
Also included in the squad are two players who didn't feature at all during the Vodacom Bulls' PRO14 Rainbow Cup SA campaign, in Robert Hunt (prop), who recently played in the FNB Varsity Cup for UCT, and experienced hooker Sidney Tobias, whose father Errol was a Springbok flyhalf in the 1980s and who also spent some time playing club rugby in Italy, with Zebre.
Players not considered for the tour include the Vodacom Bulls' current crop of Springboks who are currently in the national training camp in Bloemfontein, namely Trevor Nyakane, Marco van Staden and Morne Steyn, as well as the injured Duane Vermeulen, Arno Botha, Elrigh Louw and Embrose Papier.
